Assoc. Prof. Sqn. Ldr. Khamin Chinsakchai, M.D., from the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, served as a distinguished guest speaker at the “VEITHsymposium” held in New York City, NY, USA, from November 19th – 23rd, 2024. He delivered a lecture titled “Turning the Tide on Ruptured Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Mortality: A 13-Year Prospective Cohort Study of Multidisciplinary Protocols.” His presentation shared insights from over a decade of experience in managing complex vascular cases, focusing on innovative approaches, treatment outcomes, and key lessons from multidisciplinary care.

Assoc. Prof. Sqn. Ldr. Khamin Chinsakchai, M.D., from the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, participated as a distinguished guest speaker at the “11th VERVE and LINC Australia Symposium” held in Sydney, Australia, from November 5th – 11th, 2024.

He delivered an insightful lecture titled “Endovascular versus Open Repair for Infective Native Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm: Redefining Treatment Paradigms—A 15-Year Odyssey”, sharing his extensive experience in treating complex vascular cases. Siriraj Faculty Abroad at the “IVC Miami 2024” in USA

From April 18th – 20th, 2024, Assoc. Prof. Nuttawut Sermsathanasawadi, M.D., Ph.D., from the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and presented a research abstract on the topic “Effectiveness of Cyanoacrylate Closure and Compression Compared with Compression Therapy Alone in Healing of Venous Leg Ulcers Caused by Superficial Vein Reflux, a Randomized Controlled Trial” at the “International Vein Congress 2024 (IVC Miami 2024)” in Miami, USA. This congress provided Assoc. Prof. Sermsathanasawadi the opportunity to exchange valuable knowledge with leading international experts in vascular surgery and explore potential collaborations.

In its 22nd year, the IVC continues to be a premier event in the venous field, offering an extraordinary experience for all attendees. The congress features multiple concurrent sessions designed to enhance clinical practice, improve skills, and revolutionize patient care.

Prof. Nuttawut Sermsathanasawadi, M.D., Ph.D., from the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited as a guest speaker to deliver a special lecture on the topic of “Complications of Cyanoacrylate Closure -hypersensitivity Reaction, Cyanoacrylate Granuloma, “Thrombus Extension After CAC” and also delivered an oral presentation on the research topic “Outcomes of Treatment of Concomita”t Ilioca” al Venous Obstruction and Superficial Venous Reflux in Venous Leg Ulcer”Patients” at the UIP 2023 World Congress – Connecting the Continent, Welcoming the World in Miami, USA.

Mr. Simon Vitikac, a 4th-year medical student from Charles University, First Faculty of Medicine, Czech is undertaking an elective study at the Division of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery from August 7th-18th, 2023, and Division of Neurosurgery, Department of Surgery starting from August 21st – September 1st, 2023.

 

Ms. Lenka Swierczkova, a 6th-year medical student from Masaryk University in Brno, Czech, and Ms. Katarzyna Krupa, a 5th-year medical student from the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland are participating in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for her elective study from August 7th – September 1st, 2023.

 

Whereas, Ms. Rita Petrillo, a 6th-year from The University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Italy is attending at Division of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery from August 7th-18th, 2023, and the Division of General Surgery, Department of Surgery starting from August 21st – September 1st, 2023

 

Also, Mr. Rafael Viejo Marin, a medical student from the University of Sevilla, Spain will undertake an elective study at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology from August 7th -18th, 2023, and the Department of Ophthalmology from August 21st – September 1st, 2023.

Prof. Nuttawut Sermsathanasawadi, M.D., Ph.D., from the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, was invited as a guest speaker at the international meeting “V-ITALy’23: VITAL state of the art & ADVANCEMENT” in Albarella Island, Italy. The V-ITALy’23 gathered top Experts from all continents and top industry representatives to analyze the met and unmet needs in Vein & Lymphatic practice, reaching out to the global community of Vein & Lymphatic health professionals, as well as to the patients, identifying the” VITAL” steps forward for proper advancement of Vein & Lymphatic care.
