Siriraj Faculty Conducts First-Ever Spinal Cord Stimulation Treatment in the Philippines
Associate Professor Nantthasorn Zinboonyahgoon, MD, D.ABA., Chief of Division of Pain Medicine, Department of Anesthesiology, and Professor Bunpot Sitthinamsuwan, MD, from Division of Neurosurgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, conducted the first-ever comprehensive “Spinal Cord Stimulation Workshop” at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) in the Philippines on July 23, 2026.
This groundbreaking workshop featured educational lectures on spinal cord stimulation principles and surgical techniques, Q&A sessions, and hands-on spinal cord stimulation trialing procedures. The program marked a significant milestone in advancing pain management and neurosurgical techniques in the Philippines, providing valuable training opportunities for Filipino healthcare professionals.
