The Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, proudly welcomed a delegation of faculty members and Pharm.D. students from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy, USA, for an academic site visit at Siriraj Hospital’s Pharmacy Department focused on pharmaceutical care on Wednesday, August 5, 2026. This visit formed part of the “2026 Study Abroad Program and Site Visit for Faculty Members and Pharm.D. Students from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy (UA),” held from August 3–5, 2026, with activities across Mahidol University campuses.

The program aimed to advance academic and professional exchange; share knowledge about healthcare and public health systems, pharmaceutical care management, and the evolving roles of pharmacists through campus activities and site visits; elevate the global profile of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Mahidol University and its partners; and foster cultural and educational growth by giving faculty, pharmacists, and students opportunities to broaden their expertise and engage in cross-cultural collaboration.

During their visit to Siriraj Hospital’s Pharmacy Department, the University of Arizona delegation observed key clinical pharmacy services. Led by Professor Akiko Ota, the group included Pharm.D. students Mr. Owen Brault, Ms. Maria Gonzalez Arias, and Ms. Liz Rueda, along with Asst. Prof.Wipharak Rattanavipanon, and Lect.Siwida Tangtrakultham. They were warmly welcomed by Siriraj Hospital pharmacists,who shared their expertise across several specialized areas, including the pivotal role of pharmacists in the Warfarin Clinic, the integral role of pharmacists in the CKD Clinic, the innovative operations of the Outpatient Department (OPD) Robotic Pharmacy, the advanced systems of the Inpatient Department (IPD) Robotic Pharmacy, and specialized Oncology Pharmacy Services.

This meaningful academic exchange highlights Siriraj Hospital’s ongoing commitment to excellence in clinical pharmacy practice and the cultivation of strong international partnerships. Such collaborations are essential for advancing patient care, pharmaceutical education, and research innovation.
