The 7th Research and Innovation Advisory Committee Meeting 2025, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the Research and Innovation Advisory Committee (RIAC) of the Siriraj Center of Research Excellence Management Unit (SiCORE-M), Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, convened the 7th annual meeting to review research progress and strategic directions for advancing research and innovation within the Faculty.
The meeting was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Vice President for Research, representing Mahidol University, and Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, M.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, who graciously presided over and delivered the opening remarks.
The event was also attended by key administrators from Mahidol University and partner faculties, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Patompon Wongtrakoongate, representing the Faculty of Science, Mahidol University, together with Siriraj executives — Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, M.D., First Deputy Dean; Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, M.D., Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and Foreign Relations; Prof. Thananya Boonyasirinant, M.D., Deputy Dean for Service Innovation and Organizational Value; Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee, M.D., Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation; and Prof. Dr. Thawornchai Limjindaporn, M.D., Deputy Dean for Postgraduate Education.

During the meeting, Assist. Prof. Dr. Woraphat Ratta-apha, M.D., Head of SiCORE-M, and Assoc. Prof. Tachjaree Panchalee Boonbowornpong, M.D., Deputy Head of SiCORE-M, presented the annual progress report, highlighting key achievements and outcomes from the SiCORE programs over the past year, along with future directions to further strengthen Siriraj’s research excellence.
The advisory committee provided constructive feedback and strategic recommendations to support the continued enhancement of Siriraj’s research and innovation ecosystem, aligning with global scientific frontiers and the Faculty’s long-term vision for impactful health and life science research.
