Service<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The division provides care for general critically-ill children in PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) and RCU (Respiratory Care Unit) with the total capacity of 12 beds. We have 450-500 admissions per year. The main admission diagnoses are severe pneumonia including acute respiratory distress syndrome, acute asthmatic attack, septic shock and postoperative care.<\/li>\n<li>Provide extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) service together with Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.<\/li>\n<li>Provide continuous renal replacement therapy together with Division of Pediatric Nephrology approximately 10 cases per year.<\/li>\n<li>Provide postoperative care for high-risk cases e.g. neurosurgery, abdominal surgery, airway surgery, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Central venous catheter insertion for patients under the care of Department of Pediatrics, approximately 150 cases per year.<\/li>\n<li>Provide sedation for bronchoscopy patients every Thursday 9-11am.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. Training<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pediatric critical care fellowship training<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric pulmonology fellowship training<\/li>\n<li>Pediatric residency training<\/li>\n<li>Open for medical students, doctors and nurses for observership<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4.
