{"id":21502,"date":"2020-01-13T09:31:14","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T02:31:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www2.si.mahidol.ac.th\/en\/?p=21502"},"modified":"2020-01-13T09:31:14","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T02:31:14","slug":"scholarships-in-canada-for-southeast-asian-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.si.mahidol.ac.th\/en\/news-events\/scholarships-in-canada-for-southeast-asian-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarships in Canada for Southeast Asian students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>December 4, 2019 \u2013 Global Affairs Canada is offering short-term scholarships to students from member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) wishing to study or conduct research in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED), announced by the Government of Canada in August 2017, will provide approximately 125 scholarships in 2020-2021 for study or research in fields that are aligned with the\u00a0<a class=\"ui-link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/development-agenda\/\">2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Canadian post-secondary academic institutions can now submit scholarship applications on behalf of students from eligible countries by\u00a0<b>March 5, 2020<\/b>. Only applications submitted directly by Canadian post-secondary academic institutions will be considered.<\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates are invited to contact their home institution\u2019s international office to learn about institutional partnerships and collaborations with Canadian institutions.
