The Ernst Mach Grant programme is named after the famous Austrian physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach (1838-1916). The grant programme is financed by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education, Science, and\u00a0Research (BMBWF). Students and young researchers from foreign universities are invited to apply for this grant to come to Austria for research or a study stay.<\/p>\n

Ernst Mach Grant – worldwide<\/strong><\/p>\n The Ernst Mach Grant worldwide is targeted at young researchers from all disciplines and countries (except Austria) who wish to pursue a research project in Austria.<\/p>\n Target group:<\/em> young researchers from all disciplines and countries (except Austria)<\/p>\n Duration:<\/em> 1 to 9 months<\/p>\n Age limit:<\/em> 35 years<\/p>\n Closing date for applications:<\/em> online application is available from October to February\u00a0<\/strong>1st<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0of the following year<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 2. Ernst Mach Follow-Up Grant (non-European developing countries)<\/strong><\/p>\n The Ernst Mach Follow-Up Grant is aimed at postdocs from non-European developing countries who are former OeAD scholarship holders. The grant is intended to support the applicant’s scientific carrier and to further and deepen the cooperation with Austrian higher education institutions and universities.<\/p>\n Target group:<\/em> Post-doctoral researchers and lecturers from non-European developing countries who research and\/or teach at higher education institutions or universities and have already received a grant administered by the OeAD-GmbH in the past. At the beginning of the grant period, at least 5 years must have passed since the last funded research visit to Austria.<\/p>\n Duration:<\/em> 1 to 3 months<\/p>\n Age limit:<\/em> 50 years<\/p>\n Closing date for applications:<\/em> Online applications are open from November to February\u00a0<\/strong>1st\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>of the following year and from June to November\u00a0<\/strong>1st<\/sup><\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n 4. The Ernst Mach Grant ASEA-UNINET<\/strong><\/p>\n is open to graduates, postgraduates, and postdocs from Cambodia, Indonesia, Thailand, or Vietnam in all fields of study who want to study or do a research project in Austria.<\/p>\n Target group:<\/em> graduates of artistic fields for a study visit in the field of music; postgraduates doing a doctoral\/Ph.D. programme in Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam; postgraduates who want to do a doctoral\/Ph.D. programme in Austria and fulfill the requirements for admission; postdocs who are involved in teaching and research at a university in Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, or Vietnam.<\/p>\n Age limit:<\/em> 35 years for graduates and postgraduates, 45 years for postdocs (at the time of the application)<\/p>\n Duration:<\/em> graduates, post docs: 1 to 9 months; postgraduates: max. 36 months<\/p>\n Closing date for applications:<\/em> June\u00a0<\/strong>15th<\/sup><\/strong>, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n
