On March 15th<\/sup>, 2023, the Siriraj Diabetes Center<\/strong><\/em>, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, organized “the Pre-Camp Meeting of the 17th Siriraj Diabetes School Camp”<\/em> to teach about type 1 diabetes management for the children and adults (campers) with type 1 diabetes (including their parents) before they attend “the 17th Siriraj Diabetes School Camp”<\/em> between March 27th – 30th, 2023, at the Krung Thai Bank Training Center, Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The Pre-Camp Meeting was presided over by Prof. Suroj Supavekin<\/strong>, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, along with Prof. Emer. Chanika Tuchinda<\/strong>; Clin. Prof. Supawadee Likitmaskul<\/strong>; Assoc. Prof. Jeerunda Santiprabhob<\/strong>; Mr. Suppawat Wadhanapatee<\/strong>, Senior Executive Vice President – Head of Human Resources and Corporate Governance Group, Krungthai Bank PCL; and Ms. Thipthida Sukhum<\/strong>, Executive Board of Director of the PB Valley Khao Yai Winery.<\/p>\n

“The 17th Siriraj Diabetes School Camp”<\/strong> will teach and support the campers to adjust prandial insulin based on capillary blood glucose and carbohydrate counting. The campers will manage hypo\/hyperglycemia episodes under the supervision of endocrinologists. Nurses ensured insulin injection technique, and dietitians confirmed the carbohydrate counting skill to ensure the campers had learned and managed themselves correctly.<\/p>\n
