Prof. Nida Jareemit<\/strong> from Gynaecologic Oncology Division, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, delivered a poster presentation on title <em>&#8220;Risk of high grade or more severe lesions and associated factors among women aged &gt; 60 years with abnormal cervical cancer screening: A multicenter study&#8221; <\/em>at the 2023 Annual Global Meeting of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society (IGCS 2023), Korea.<\/p>\n<p>The study highlighted that elderly women who have never undergone screening or those with high-grade cytology face a higher risk of developing severe lesions. Additionally, women with a history of CIN2+ are more prone to increased risk. The research suggests that extending cervical cancer screening beyond the recommended age should not be a one-size-fits-all approach but should be personalized based on individual screening history.
