Between October 31st<\/sup> and November 1st<\/sup>, 2024, Asst. Prof. Ruchira Ruangchira-urai, MD<\/strong>, from the Department of Pathology, participated in the “76th<\/sup> Annual Fall Meeting of the Korean Society of Pathologists”<\/strong> and the “8th<\/sup> Annual Conference of the Asia-Australasian Pulmonary Pathology Society (AAPPS)”<\/strong>, held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.<\/p>\n

At the “AAPPS Session: Interesting Cases”<\/strong>, Asst. Prof. Ruangchira-urai delivered a lecture on the topic “Connective tissue disease-associated nonspecific interstitial pneumonia and rare complications following lung transplantation”.<\/em><\/p>\n

Upon her return, the knowledge and experience gained will significantly benefit Siriraj Hospital in the following ways:<\/p>\n

1. Knowledge Sharing
\n– Updates from her lectures and discussions will be shared with colleagues, residents, and students during teaching sessions, enhancing pathology training and education.<\/em><\/p>\n

2. Improved Patient Care
\n– Insights into rare complications will strengthen diagnostic support, contributing to better patient outcomes.<\/em><\/p>\n

3. Network Building
\n– As a councilor of the AAPPS since 2019, she has fostered collaborations for knowledge exchange. These efforts will be pivotal as AAPPS co-hosts its annual meeting with the 14th Asia Pacific International Academy of Pathology Congress in Thailand in 2025, reinforcing Siriraj Hospital\u2019s international prominence.<\/em><\/p>\n

Additionally, Asst. Prof. Ruangchira-urai\u2019s presence at the conference was invaluable for advancing the diagnosis and management of myositis, with a focus on driving research and improving care for Thai patients.<\/p>\n
