landmark study presents the first global-scale measurements of chlorinated paraffins (CPs) in ambient air, using data from the Global Atmospheric Passive Sampling (GAPS) and GAPS-Megacities networks.<\/p>\n<p>CPs\u2014widely used in lubricants, plastics, rubbers, and metal-cutting fluids\u2014were detected across remote, rural, urban, and megacity locations worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Significant spatial variability was observed for SCCPs, MCCPs, and LCCPs, with elevated levels in cities such as Lagos, Beijing, and Bangkok, reflecting regional differences in industrial activity, waste management, and regulation.<\/p>\n<p>Detection of CPs in remote regions highlights their potential for long-range atmospheric transport.<\/p>\n<p>&#x1f30d; <strong>Overall,<\/strong> the findings reveal chlorinated paraffins as widespread airborne contaminants of global concern, underscoring the need for continued international monitoring and regulatory
