Expected Learning Outcomes: It is expected that successful Ph.D. graduates are able to:

  1. Conduct research work with scientific integrity; follow scientific ethical regulations and laboratory standards.
  2. Integrate the frontier knowledge of medical physiology ranging from normal to pathophysiology with a range of disciplines
  3. Synthesize the current knowledge in medical physiology appropriately through critical analysis, discussion and writing
  4. Acquire the State-of-the-Art knowledge of medical physiology by utilizing information technological, mathematical and scientific thinking skills (21st century skills) for life-long learning
  5. Disseminate and promote new insights of medical physiology to peers and the scientific community at international leveltific data.
  6. Adapt and implement research methodologies in selected field/topic to independently generate original knowledge and understanding for extending and redefining current knowledge of medical physiology

Program Duration

  • 3-8 academic years for a candidate holding a Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 academic years for a candidate holding a Master's degree

For students who have not received a scholarship or have received a scholarship that only covers part of the tuition fee, the Director of program and the Faculty of Graduate Studies may give these students partial support or waive the graduate tuition fee. The amount of this support cannot be less than 1,800 baht/credit.

4 Thesis Registration Fee  

Doctoral Thesis Registration Fee 36 credits 54,000 baht/thesis

Doctoral Thesis Registration Fee 48 credits 72,000 baht/thesis

Doctoral Thesis Registration Fee 72 credits 108,000 baht/thesis

The thesis registration fee can be paid in two equal Installments, at the first semester and the second semester of thesis registration.
5 Research Supplies Fee 300,000 baht

For students who have not received a scholarship or have received a scholarship that only covers part of the tuition fee, the Director of the program and the Faculty of Graduate Studies may waive or exempt the research supplies fee/thematic paper supplies fee.
6 Qualifying/Comprehensive Examination Fee

Qualifying Examination Fee for Doctoral degree Program 4,200 baht/time

Scholarship

A candidate must:

  1. have got a Bachelor's degree in Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary medicine, Pharmacy, Science, or related areas, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50; OR
  2. have got a Master's degree in Science or related areas, such as Physiotherapy or Nursing, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50; AND
  3. Have a TOEFL ITP score of at least 500, TOEFL Internet-based score of 61 or IELTS score of 5.
  4. Provide at least two letters of recommendation issued by advisor or supervisor and/or the educational portfolio.
  5. Contact the Graduate Program Director for possible research of interest or research concept and/or available funding/scholarships prior to application process.
