Siriraj Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, has published the textbook entitled “28 Preparation Techniques for Thai Traditional medicine” to compile knowledge related to the 28 traditional methods of herbal medicine preparation in classical Thai Traditional Medicine. The book serves as a textbook for Thai Traditional Pharmacy for Applied Thai Traditional Medicine students, as well as a reference resource for academic research of traditional Thai traditional pharmaceutical practices.

The content explains the definitions and explanations of each preparation method, the appropriate selection of preparation techniques for specific herbal materials, and detailed step-by-step preparation procedures. Additionally, it describes the tools and equipment used in herbal medicine preparation, accompanied by examples of formulas representing all 28 methods derived from the historical medical treatise (Phaetsart Songkroh), the authors’ clinical experience, and traditional folk medicine formularies.
