สถาบันทางด้านกุมารเวชศาสตร์ของแผ่นดินที่ได้มาตรฐานระดับสากล

พันธกิจ

          เพื่อผลิตกุมารแพทย์ผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้านเวชบำบัดวิกฤตที่มีความรู้ความสามารถในเวชปฏิบัติที่ทันสมัย ครอบคลุมและเหมาะสมกับบริบทของประเทศ มีความสามารถในการทำงานแบบมืออาชีพ สามารถปฏิบัติงานได้ด้วยตนเอง โดยไม่ต้องมีการกำกับดูแล สามารถปฏิบัติงานแบบสหวิชาชีพหรือเป็นทีมได้ มีเจตนารมณ์และเตรียมพร้อมที่จะเรียนรู้ตลอดชีวิต สามารถดูแลผู้ป่วยได้อย่างเหมาะสม มีประสิทธิภาพ มีความเอื้ออาทรและใส่ใจในความปลอดภัยเพื่อการแก้ไขปัญหาและการส่งเสริมสุขภาพโดยยึดถือผู้ป่วยเป็นศูนย์กลางบนพื้นฐานของการดูแลแบบองค์รวม โดยสามารถรักษาสมดุลระหว่างการฝึกอบรมและการรักษาสุขภาพของตนเอง

จุดเด่นของหลักสูตร

  • – อาจารย์ประจำหลักสูตร 5 ท่าน
  • – หออภิบาล 2 หอ ได้แก่หอผู้ป่วยวิกฤติเด็ก 1 และ 2 รวมจำนวน 14 เตียง อัตราการรับผู้ป่วย 500-600 รายต่อปี พร้อมอุปกรณ์ที่ใช้ในการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยวิกฤตที่ได้มาตรฐาน เช่น เครื่องช่วยหายใจและอุปกรณ์ตามมาตรฐานการดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยวิกฤต
  • – negative pressure room 4 ห้อง เพื่อรองรับผู้ป่วยที่ต้องการ
  • – เครื่องมือทางการแพทย์ที่ทันสมัยที่ให้บริการขั้นสูงอื่นๆ เช่น
    • เครื่องบำบัดทดแทนไตชนิด continuous renal replacement therapy
    • อุปกรณ์จ่ายก๊าซ nitric oxide ที่ใช้ในการรักษาผู้ป่วยที่มีภาวะความดันหลอดเลือดในปอดสูง
    • อุปกรณ์ในการทำ bronchoscopy เครื่อง ultrasound และเครื่อง extracorporeal membrane oxygenator (ECMO)
  • – ผู้ฝึกอบรมจะได้เรียนรู้จากผู้ป่วยที่หลากหลายและได้ทำหัตถการภายใต้การควบคุมของอาจารย์
