Established in 1888 by H.M. King Chulalongkorn, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital at Mahidol University is the first medical school in Thailand.

Our Siriraj Hospital, the largest teaching medical center in Thailand, provides exemplary medical services with not only state-of-the-art technology but also interdisciplinary, comprehensive, and compassionate care. Our university has been consistently ranked at the top of the nation for research with increasing amounts of funding and publications each year. The Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital strives to advance medical education, patient care, and research by pursuing the H.R.H. Prince Mahidol of Songkhla’s philosophy,

Our Faculty’s mission is to nurture competent, creative, professional, and socially responsible doctors among our medical students and graduates, provide optimal treatment to our patients, share impactful research and scientific discoveries, and accelerate Siriraj’s diverse contributions to the local community, nation, and world.
As a leading medical institute accredited with international standards in Thailand, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital has attracted many foreign universities to share global perspectives on education, health care, and research. Over the past few years, the number of visitors participating in our various academic programs has been steadily increasing.
