Currently, Department of Immunology offers 2 international programs for researchers interested in Immunology & Molecular Biology of Important Infectious Disease (especially Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever) and Non-Infectious Disease (for example: Allergy, Cancer, Diabetes, Neuro-muscular diseases), as well as Biotechnology of Translational Medicine (for example: Cancer Immunotherapy, Omics study in genetic diseases, Stem cells, Genetically-engineered protein, Pharmacogenetics). Here are some of the reasons why these programs are very sought-after and highly regarded:
• For years, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital has been at the forefront of Thailand’s medicine. (#122 World University Ranking by subject Medicine, #16 of Asian University) (as of 2022 QS World University Ranking).
• The contents are updated and immersive, with an emphasis on immunology theories and practical laboratory skills. Students’ horizons will be broadened through the coursework, workshops, and hands-on sessions, which will improve creative thinking and enable the large-scale research teamwork management. It is also frequently mentioned that the facility is fully equipped with cutting-edge research instruments.
• The students can learn from a variety of recognized world-class lecturers thanks to the university’s extensive worldwide network.
Both the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs have been certified by ISO 9001 (since 2015) and ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUNQA) (since 2017). The certification issued by Siriraj will open a lot of opportunities, for example, academic positions at universities, research scientists in many public and private sectors, product scientists in various medical technology and pharmaceutical industries, and so on. The successes of our graduates help to confirm the programs’ capacities. You might want to have a look at a few of them, which are listed in the comment below.
