Published On April 25th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communication and International Relations, on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over the launching ceremony of the “China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health” at Peking University in China. It aims to foster high-level exchange and cooperation in healthcare, global health research, and research exchange between healthcare institutes in Thailand and China.
The China-ASEAN Science and Technology Cooperation Center for Public Health Network was established by Peking University and Mahidol University in partnership with 22 healthcare institutes from China and 21 institutes from ASEAN. The Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital played a crucial role in the collaborative framework in healthcare, as negotiations began back in 2019. This initiative is expected to lead to innovative solutions and contribute to the advancement of public health in both regions.
