The Medical Grand Challenge (MGC), which was launched in 2016 by the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, is a student-led medical innovation program. It encourages medical students to identify unmet healthcare needs and to work collaboratively with students from other faculties to form interdisciplinary teams to explore creative and out-of-the-box solutions to meet these needs. It is an out-of-classroom experiential learning experience which could be transformational. The team projects will be evaluated and scored for business strategy, creativity, design quality, and health-care impact by a VIP panel of judges.
