Published August 25th – 28th, 2023, Asst. Prof. Parichat Tovikkai, M.D., a lecturer of the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended ‘The 18th Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation (CAST)’ in Hong Kong, China, and presented an oral presentation on the topic “The Association of Intraoperative Hypotension During Orthotopic Liver Transplantation and Post-transplant Outcomes.” This conference is renowned as one of the most prestigious in Asia. Only 10 abstracts related to liver transplantation were selected for oral presentation and Asst. Prof. Tovikkai’s abstract was among them! This accomplishment underscores Siriraj Hospital’s recognition as one of Thailand’s most successful liver transplantation centers and possibly throughout Southeast Asia!
The 18th Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation (CAST) is a biannual transplant congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation, aiming to provide transplant clinicians with a broad program covering a diverse range of topics, from cutting-edge science to ethical issues in transplant. Issues related to challenges in developing transplant programs and promoting organ donation in Asia will also be a highlight of this meeting.
