Lecturer Hathaichanok Arunsaengsin, CPO, a Prosthetics and Orthotics from Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics (SSPO), participated in the Pre-conference excursion and Pre-conference workshop of the “Pedorthic Conference 2024”. During this event, she presented an oral presentation entitled “A randomized controlled trial of digital foot scanning by different healthcare personnel in the CAD-CAM manufacture insoles system for people with foot-related conditions: A Pilot study”. The conference was held from September 12th to 14th, 2024, at Moonee Valley Racing Club in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Throughout the conference, she observed the diversity of materials, tools, and designs for patients in contexts different from Thailand, enabling her to adapt and apply them appropriately to the conditions in Thailand. She broadened her horizons by learning about the advancements in technology for producing the devices, as well as the assessment of outcomes to enhance the effectiveness of treatment. Moreover, she exchanged knowledge and experiences, including treatment approaches for patients with foot problems, with experts from various countries. These insights will be immensely beneficial in planning clinical services upon her return, aimed at improving the quality of life for patients.
