Published Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and The European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA), co-hosted the international workshop “The 3rd International ESRA Cadaver Workshop for Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia” at Siriraj Training and Education Center for Clinical Skills (SiTEC) during October 3rd- 4th, 2019, to provide useful knowledge of anatomy which is an essential condition to perform a regional anesthesia.
This ultrasound-guided nerve blocks can only be learnt by actual practical exposure to the techniques. With the limited group size and a large faculty, all participants will have sufficient hands-on time. The enthusiastic faculties of the workshop are all very-experienced block practitioners, most of them first learnt to perform regional blocks before the widespread availability of ultrasound. Their wealth of experience can share many practical tips that will help the participants in becoming competent in the application of these exciting & useful techniques. This workshop also de-mystify what is often seen as a dark art and making an ultrasound using to be a non-threatening adjunct to everyday anesthetic practice.
