“Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital together with the Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), and PTT Public Company Limited, are working very hard to prove that this diagnostic test kit (which is the dip test kit like a pregnancy test kit) has enough accuracy to detect the coronavirus in the suspected patients. We will carry out a parallel protocol in the Out-Patient Department with the same guideline of COVID-19 basic screening together with this diagnostic test kit. We are now in the second phase or “the production phase” which will carry out around 4,000 kits/day, cost around 500 TH Baht per kit and distribute to the public.” #irsiriraj #siirnews #covid19
