Siriraj Daycare Center was established in 1985 by the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital as the faculty realized the importance of Siriraj personnel welfare. Most Siriraj personnel require two-way income which means both parents need to go to work. By doing that, most of them do not have time to take care of their children and hold down a job at the same time. Therefore, Siriraj Daycare Center is set up to support personnel’s welfare and promote breastfeeding for the newborn.
Siriraj Daycare operates under the objectives to take care of the personnel’s children from the age of 3 months – 3 years, to become a well-equipped Day Care, to provide knowledge of the development of behavioral pediatric for the public and communities. In one year, the center receives around 50 children from Siriraj personnel to receive daycare. The children are provided with a variety of activities that include songs and storytelling. For toddlers, the center implements fun and recreational tasks which improves their intellectual growth and development.
