Who is Eligible?
** Before applying, carefully review our eligibility criteria **
Minimum Education: A Doctor of Medicine Degree or an equivalent qualification in a related field. Applicants in practice-based specialties must provide credentials verifying relevant clinical experience.
English Proficiency: Minimum Intermediate Level (CEFR B2).
Our customizable short training courses (clinical observership program*) is designed for healthcare professionals holding a valid medical or healthcare license.
* Hands-on activities with the patient are restricted by Thai law. Please note that all short training courses are non-credit.

We do not accept applications for high school shadowing opportunities.
HOW TO APPLY
To apply for our customizable short training courses (clinical observership program), please follow these steps:
1. Prepare the Required Documents
Ensure all documents are formal and converted to PDF format.
2. Submit Your Application
Submit all completed documents to siiro@mahidol.ac.th
Required Documents:
1. Letter of Intention
– Must be printed on official letterhead, with the organization’s emblem clearly displayed.
– Must be addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.
– Must clearly state the training objectives, preferred start date and duration*, the desired field of training, and the source of funding (sponsor or self-funded).
* As this is a customizable, non-regular course, applicants may propose any dates. However, the final schedule will be determined by the committee.
– Must feature the applicant’s handwritten signature (electronic signatures are not accepted).
– Must be issued recently—within the past six months—and remain valid at the time of submission.
Note: Training sessions are conducted on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and exclude Thai national public holidays, which may affect the course schedule if they coincide with the applicant’s proposed dates.

– Must be printed on official letterhead, with the organization’s emblem clearly displayed.
– Must be addressed to the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.
– Must explicitly endorse the applicant’s qualifications and training objectives.
– Must highlight the applicant’s suitability for specific programs or roles.
– Clearly outline the endorsing institution’s level of support and any conditions governing the applicant’s participation, including potential repercussions for last-minute cancellations or postponements.
– Must feature the supervisor’s handwritten signature (electronic signatures are not accepted).
Must be issued recently—within the past six months—and remain valid at the time of submission.

5. Educational and Professional Credentials:
– Copy of medical license.
– Copy of specialist’s certificate (practice-based specialties only).
Note: All copies of officially issued documents listed in No. 5 must be certified as true copies of the original. Any form of digital manipulation or alteration is strictly prohibited.
Important Notes
– Application Deadline: Submit documents to the International Relations Division at least four months before the intended start date.
– Reapplication Policy: Applicants must apply for courses that align with their credentials. Reapplying for a different course after rejection is not permitted without valid justification.
– Training Fees may apply upon acceptance.
– Funding Requirements: To maintain a smooth application process and minimize disruptions, applicants must secure all necessary funding prior to submission.
Withdrawal & Postponement Policy:
– Last-minute withdrawal/postponement (fewer than 30 days before the program commences) cause significant disruptions to scheduling and resource allocation. Applicants who fail to secure funding/ensure their availability before applying and subsequently withdraw at this late stage will face indefinite disqualification from future applications!
– In cases of postponement due to unforeseen circumstances, applicants must submit an official letter, signed and authorized by their supervisor, outlining the justifiable reasons for the request. This documentation is mandatory for consideration of a new training start date. However, approval is not guaranteed. If granted, this will constitute the final opportunity for rescheduling. Any subsequent modifications will result in program termination, with forfeiture of the non-refundable course fees as a penalty.
Non-compliance with these guidelines will result in application disqualification without further notice.
