“We received a Thai male patient who just returned from central Africa on August 13th, 2019, with a fever and rectal bleeding. Later, he got a cardiac arrest, multiple organs dysfunction syndromes, and died. According to the laboratory result, we found out that the patient died of Malaria as we have been reported that the patient has been in the African jungle for three days and the symptoms had shown up five days later when he was in Thailand. However, we did not hesitate to close some area for cleaning as prevention.” Dean Prasit said.
