Mr. Pranaidej Hengswat is a sixth-year medical student at Mahidol University’s Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. He is particularly interested in the use of engineered comprehensive oncolytic herpes simplex virus-1 (ecoHSV-1) to modulate tumor-immune microenvironment in Cholangiocarcinoma.

The research’s core idea is to develop a virus that does not harm normal human cells but can infect and destroy cancer cells. Furthermore, the virus should be designed to be capable of causing anti-tumor inflammation within the tumor microenvironment.
