On September 29th, 2020, Assoc.Prof. Anirut Pattaragarn, Chief of Division of Nephrology, Department of Pediatrics, and  Ms. Bongkoch Prakittikul from Research Support Service, Siriraj Medical Library, delivered a lecture on the workshop “EndNote III Workshop” to the 3rd-year residents of Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital,  to promote the self-learning and allow the residents to be able to use an industry-standard software tool for publishing and managing bibliographies, citations, and references on the Windows and Macintosh desktop. #irsiriraj #sirirajlibrary

The National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan invited prospective students of Mahidol University to join the 2nd New Southbound Innovation and Entrepreneurship Online Competition. The competition will be held from December 3rd – 4th, 2020 from 9.30 AM – 4.00 PM

Directed by: Ministry of Education

Organized by: National Cheng Kung University (NCKU)

Purpose: Establish a platform for intercollegiate interactions between NCKU and New Southbound Universities and cultivate students’ fundamental skills in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Date: 2020/12/3~4

Registration: Now until 2020/11/06. Results of the preliminary selection will be announced on 11/13 (Submit to: )

Preliminary selection: Call for submissions that propose and demonstrate results based on innovation and entrepreneurship themes, but not limited to any particular fields. Three teams from each country (Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia and Taiwan) will be selected for the final pitch and each selected team shall receive a bonus prize of USD 300.

Final pitch and prizes: The ranking of finalists will be determined via online pitch.

(1) 1st prize: USD 1000

The September 24th of every year was designated as Prince Mahidol Day in commemoration of his contributions to the development of medical education in Thailand and his selfless devotion to the well-being of Thai people.

On September 24th this year, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital together with administrative members, staffs, students, and other public and private health organizations attended the ceremony to commemorate His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla in front of Prince Mahidol Statue, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

On September 25th, 2020, the committee of Siriraj Medical Students Exchange Program 2021 led by Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for International Relations conducted an English Interview for the 2nd year Siriraj medical students to select the most eligible students to undertake a research elective program in many reputed medical schools around the world for the academic year 2020. #irsiriraj #siirnews

The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Bangkok is very pleased to announce that the Office of Education and Culture Attache, the Embassy of Indonesia is offering the Indonesian Language Course Program 2020 for Basic Course to the Thais Citizens who are working with the International organization, Thai Authorities, staffs of Ministry, and staffs from Education Institutions in Bangkok and interested in learning Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian Language).

The main purpose of the Indonesian Language Course Program is to promote cooperation in the area of education and culture between Indonesia and Thailand and to propagate Indonesian language among Thai citizens.

On September 22nd, 2020, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital presided over the Grand Opening of Siriraj Drive-thru Service Center at Chao Phraya 10-Rai area. The grand opening ceremony was witnessed by Assoc. Prof. Visit Vamvanij, Director of Siriraj Hospital, Assoc. Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, Vice Director of Siriraj Hospital, Dr. Sichon Luerithiphong, Assistant to Director of Siriraj Hospital.

SI Drive-thru Service offers the elderly population, NCD patients the newer way of blood and specimen collection. With SI Drive-Thru Service, patients do not need to come into the crowded area in the hospital, instead, using drive-thru service for collecting a blood sample and be able to go home. The Si Drive-Thru Benefit spend only 4 minutes to collect specimen from each patient, patients can leave the unit within only 15 minutes. The service will minimize the risk of contacting infectious diseases, provide convenience, and improve the quality of life of the patients.

The Value-Driven Care team led by Assoc. Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, Vice Director of Siriraj Hospital, Dr. Sichon Luerithiphong, Assistant to Director of Siriraj Hospital, and Dr. Theerawich Likitabhorn, Internship student from Emory Rollins School of Public Health, USA expected to see a 10% reduction of the number of patients in the traditional facility within 3 months.

The SI Drive-thru Service opens from 8.00 AM – 12.00 PM everyday except public holiday, the patient can book a queue by download Siriraj Connect Application and follow the instruction in the application.
