Siriraj Faculty Abroad at the ASM Microbe 2026 in Washington, D.C.
From June 4th – 7th, 2026, Associate Professor Anupop Jitmuang, MD, from the Division of Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine, Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, proudly represented Siriraj at the prestigious ASM Microbe 2026 meeting organized by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) in Washington, D.C., USA.
During this world-renowned microbiology conference, Assoc. Prof. Jitmuang served as the corresponding and principal investigator, making a significant academic contribution through a Poster Presentation on a clinically impactful topic: “A Continuous Multimodal Intervention to Reduce Blood Culture Contamination in the Emergency and Triage Units: A Quasi-Experimental Study.”
His participation greatly elevates Siriraj’s international prestige in clinical microbiology and infectious disease medicine, ensuring our research excellence is recognized on the global stage. Most importantly, this academic exchange provides invaluable opportunities to share innovative infection control strategies with leading microbiologists and infectious disease specialists worldwide.
