Siriraj Faculty Abroad at the Asia-Pacific Conference on Mosquito and Vector Control 2026
During August 5 – 7, 2026, Associate Professor Kasem Kulkeaw, PhD, Director of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Biodesign in Medicine (International Program), Department of Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, represented Siriraj at the “2nd Asia-Pacific Conference on Mosquito and Vector Control (AMV) 2026″ organized by The Research and Lifelong Learning Center on Urban and Environmental Entomology (REAL-ENTO), Department of Entomology, Faculty of Agriculture, Kasetsart University.
During this prestigious regional conference, Assoc. Prof. Kulkeaw made a significant academic contribution by delivering a lecture on the innovative topic: “The Organoid Platform in Malaria Research: A Promising Avenue for Translational Insights” in the session of Innovative Frontier in Vector Biology and Integrated Disease Surveillance Across Africa and Asia.
His participation elevates Siriraj’s international recognition in vector-borne disease research and biomedical innovation, showcasing our cutting-edge research capabilities on the regional stage. Most importantly, this academic exchange opens doors for valuable connections and potential collaborations with international research teams at the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University, while also attracting prospective students interested in our graduate study programs. This collaboration will enhance our research capacity in vector control and tropical disease management, ultimately advancing our mission to combat mosquito-borne diseases and improve public health outcomes.
