Lecturer Dr. Maynart Sukharomana of the Division of Rheumatology, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended and delivered a poster presentation on the topic “Outcomes of intraarticular triamcinolone acetonide injection in children with nonsystemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis” at the 27th European Pediatric Rheumatology e-Congress 2021 and Young Investigators Meeting. This congress was held as an online platform from The Swiss Confederation between September 18th – 21st, 2021.

During September 7th – 15th, 2021, Assoc. Prof. Narumon Densupsoontorn, Chief of Division of Nutrition, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the virtual congress “ESPEN 2021 Virtual Congress” and delivered a presentation on the topic “Comparisons between The Clinical Outcomes of Early and Late Enteral Nutrition and Mortality risk factors for Pediatric Burns“.

The ESPEN 2021 Virtual Congress was held to promote nutritional care through a virtual congress committed to disseminating the best science, education, and innovative concepts in nutritional care. It’s also aimed at creating new opportunities for interaction, further innovations, and initiatives to enhance these exchanges, as well as effective presentation of original findings and new topics through a renewed and updated programme, and committed to building an enhanced technical platform and tools to ensure fruitful and smooth participation for all.

Congratulations! Prof. Dr. Vip  Viprakasit, Professor of Pediatrics and Program Director for Thalassemia & Haemoglobinopathies Research, Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has been awarded “Outstanding Research Award in Medical Science 2021” from the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) for his life-long dedication in research for thalassemia screening and diagnosis. He also authored and co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in less than 15 years and has written many reviews on thalassemia and/or iron-related complications and chapters in major hematology reviews American Society of Hematology (ASH) and European Hematology Association (EHA). #siriraj #thalassemia #nrctawards
