In the collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj hospital and Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU), we are focusing on the medical research especially infectious diseases to develop the research projects, request international funding although improve the potential of diagnosis and treatment.

Professor Dr. Ruengpung Sutthent, Deputy Dean for Research, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital discussed with Dr. Marcel Curlin, Dr. Bill Messer and Dr. Sara Schwanke Khilji, infectious disease experts from Department of Medicine, Portland, Oregon, USA OHSU and Siriraj researchers of Zika virus and HIV networks to find the ways for research collaboration during 31 October-2 November 2016 at SiMR building.

 

Oregon Health & Science University has partnered with Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital in order to help both institutions expand research capacity. As a result, both institutions are sharing research salary support in order to investigate innovative approaches to the prevention and treatment of HIV, Tuberculosis, Zika Virus, NCDs, Aflatoxin and Dengue Fever and to contribute the development and creation of research projects for research abroad.

On Monday 31 st October 2016, Clin. Prof. Udom Kachintorn, President of Mahidol University and Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital welcomed and participated in the research collaborative conference with President Joe Robertson and team from Oregon Health & Science University, USA.

 

      On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Ruengpung Sutthent, Deputy Dean of Research, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital likewise welcomed President Joe Robertson, Dr. Justin Denny, Dr.Marcel Curlin and Dr. Bill Messer global researcher team from Oregon Health & Science University, brought to visit laboratory facilities and discussed for research collaboration allowing for exchanges in student, faculty and research across all schools.

A.G. Ellis Research Award Ceremony in Siriraj International Conference in Medicine and Public Health 2016

On Monday 13rd June 2016, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital conducted A.G. Ellis Research award ceremony at Siriraj Medical Research Center (SiMR building). Prof. George Banting Form Faculty f Biomedical Sciences, Bristol University, United Kingdom

23th May 2016, Prof. George Banting, Dean of Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Bristol University, United Kingdom visited Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. On this occasion, he visited Siriraj laboratory, core facilities and education center. Moreover, Siriraj executive members and Prof. Banting have a terrific discussion in the term of collaboration in research and education.


In the afternoon, Dr. Jan Frayne and Dr. Marieangela Wilson, Bristol University, United Kingdom gave a special lecture “Blood pharming and the development of methodology for proteome-wide profiling, and comparative analysis of transcription factors in erythroid cells” to Siriraj staff at meeting room 101, Siriraj Medical Research Building (SiMR).

On 5th April, 2016, Prof. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital Mahidol University welcomed Asst. Prof.Jackrit Suthakorn, Dean of Faculty of Engineering Mahidol University and Mr.Somsak Chittiphalungsri, Managing Director of Saijo Denki to Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. On this occasion, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by three institutes to refine research and development in the area of air quality improvement.

On 5th August, 2015 at Mahidol Learning Center, Salaya campus, Mahidol University, the press conference between Mahidol University and GREATER MYBACIN CO., LTD. was held for the signatory of licensing agreement for intellectual property rights of pharmaceutical innovation in allergy diagnostics and prevention.

“In this event, Clinical Professor Udom Kachintorn, President of Mahidol University accompanied with Professor Dr. Sansanee Chaiyaroj, Vice President for Research and International Relations, Professor Dr. Ruengpung Sutthent, Deputy Dean of Research, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Professor emerita Chaweewan Bunnag, and researchers of Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, including Mr.Chernporn Tengamnauy, a committee of GREATER MYBACIN CO., LTD. are witnesses of this signatory.

On 25th November, 2014, Associate Professor Dr. Chatchawan Srisawat, Chairman of Biochemistry Department and members of Cancer Nanomedicine welcomed Professor Juri Gelovani.

Professor Juri gave 2 hours special lecture “PET Tracers Development in Oncology” for doctor and researchers at the meeting room 901, 9th Floor, SiMR building. After that he visited laboratory centers on 5th and 7th Floor and also the accomodation on 11th Floor of SiMR building.

On November 13,2014, Department of Immunology, Research Division, International Relations Division, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, and Erasmus MC together hosted a meeting under the topic of “Updates on Immunology and Endocrinology” to Promote research collaboration and Sharing experience between both institutes at SiMR building, 12nd floor. The meeting was seasoned by several reputed speakers from Erasmus MC led by Professor Dr. Martin van Hagen, Head of Department of Clinical Immunology and Professor Dr. Aart-Jan van der Lely, Head of Department of Clinical Endocrinology, Erasmus MC.
