On December 18th, 2018, Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, Deputy Dean for International Relations, along with Assoc.Prof. Chanean Ruansetakit, Chairman of Department of Surgery, Dr. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, Chairman of Siriraj Cancer Center, and Assoc. Prof. Asada Methasate, Head of Minimal Invasive Surgery Division, welcomed Clinical Assoc. Prof. Lars Tue Sorensen from University of Copenhagen, Denmark, to visit Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and have a discussion on the potential collaboration multicenter RCT-protocol and surgeon exchange program between UoC and Siriraj.

WHO Short Course Training Program in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary and Transplantation Surgery
Four North Korea doctors from World Health Organization (WHO) attended the training program in “Minimally Invasive Surgery and Hepato-Pancreatic-Biliary and Transplantation Surgery” at General Surgery ,Department of Surgery under supervisor Dr. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, Head of Division of General Surgery from October 1,2018 – November 23, 2018 ( 2 Months).

The General Surgery Division arranged the annual seminar from July 7th – 8th, 2018 at The Cha-Am Methavalai Hotel, Petchaburi. For this year, the seminar was held under the theme “The Higher Graduate Diploma Revision”. The seminar was well attended by all division staffs’ and presided by Professor Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital.
