During September 13th – 14th, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Nuttawut Sermsathanasawadi of the Division of Vascular Surgery, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the “XIX World Congress of the International Union of Phlebology” in Istanbul, Turkey, and delivered two special lectures on the topics: “Treatment of marginal vein in KT: Endovenous thermal ablation or foam?” and “Vein ablation by glue – Safety and efficacy issues.” including moderated the of the UIP session 10: Vein and Lymphatic University – UIP: What would I do? and Non-Thermal Non-Tumescent Ablation Strategies and Techniques.

Prof. Dr. Adada Methasate from Siriraj’s Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit; visit the Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo, to meet Prof. Shigeo Okabe, Dean of the Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, and his administrative members to discuss on the collaboration between Siriraj and the Graduate School of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine, The University of Tokyo.

On September 1st, 2022, Prof. Takanori Kanai, Dean of Keio University School of Medicine, and Mr. Hiroki Yamamoto of the International Office, Keio University School of Medicine, welcomed the administrative members of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, led by Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Chairman of Department of Orthopaedic Surgery; Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for International Relations; Prof. Kulkanya Chokephaibulkit, Director of Siriraj Institute of Clinical Research (SICRES); Assoc. Prof. Chongdee Aojanepong, welcomed Professor Keiichi Akita and Mr. Shun Koyano from the Graduate School of Medical and Dental Sciences, Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU), Japan, on the visit and discussion on the topic “the Expansion of the Joint Degree Program in Medical Sciences, and Diploma Form” between Siriraj and TMDU.

Welcome, Miss Chiara Nosari, a 4th– year medical student from Universita Degli Studi di Brescia, Italy, to undertake an elective study at the Department of Medicine, Department of Surgery, and Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, from 1st – 28th, August 2022.

On July 5th, 2022, Assoc. Prof. Visit Vamvanij, Director of Siriraj Hospital, along with Assoc. Prof. Chanean Ruansetakit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, and Lecturer Kusuma Chinaroonchai from the Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, welcomed the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Don Pramudwinai, and the honorable guest from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Abdullah Almutere Nilyfer, the Consultant for the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the visit and study on the topic “Advance Chronic Wound Care and the Use of Low-Temperature Atmospheric Pressure Plasma (LTAPP – plasma technology device) to treat the hard to heal and complicated wounds” at Siriraj Wound Clinic, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.
