  • Dr. Isabelle Byers will be rotating at the Division of Gastroenterology, Department of Medicine, Department of Dermatology, and the Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (CATTM).
  • Dr. Sanjay Gadi will be rotating at the Division of Gastroenterology and the Center of Applied Thai Traditional Medicine (CATTM).

Dr. Chalermkwan Apinuntham, a fourth-year resident from the Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, is currently participating in a “Clinical Elective in Dermatosurgery” at Yonsei University, South Korea, under the Division of Dermatosurgery, Department of Dermatology. This program is scheduled from January 6th – 17th, 2024.

Dr. Chudapa Seree-aphinan, a fourth-year resident from the Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, is currently attending a “Clinical Elective in Dermatosurgery” at the Greater Miami Skin & Laser Center, USA, under the Division of Dermatosurgery, Department of Dermatology from December 2nd – 27th, 2024.

On December 4th, 2024, the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, partnered with SurgiMind INC, South Korea, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for a project aimed at enhancing medical education using 3D anatomy software and virtual reality technology.

 

The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean, along with representatives from Siriraj included Prof. Rungsima Wanitphakdeedecha, Chair of Dermatology; Asst. Prof. Napakorn Sangchay, Chair of Anatomy; Prof. Woraphong Manuskiatti, Department of Dermatology; and Assoc. Prof. Prapat Wanitpongpan, Deputy Dean for Corporate Communications and International Relations. and Mr. Kim Il, CEO of SurgiMind INC, joined by Ms. Jung Eunjin, Head of the Global Business Division at GPDI.

 

The initiative, which successfully completed a six-month pre-launch phase, aims to revolutionize the study of human anatomy with a focus on facial injection techniques. By integrating immersive technology, it seeks to provide healthcare professionals with innovative tools for precision and improved understanding.

Congratulations to Professor Woraphong Manuskiatti, MD, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Services at Mahidol University and Professor of Dermatology at the Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, on being recognized as the world’s leading author in research publications on laser treatment for acne scars during 2014–2024.

This ranking is based on a total of 536 published studies contributed by 2,153 researchers from 46 countries worldwide.

Lecturer Pitchaya Maneeprasopchoke, MD, from the Department of Dermatology, represented Siriraj Hospital as a guest speaker at the “Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress (AMWC) Japan” held in Tokyo, Japan, from November 10th – 11th, 2024. She delivered two lectures on her research topics: “Lip Refining Technique for Natural Looks” and “A New Therapeutic Approach with Skin Booster”, highlighting her innovative contributions to dermatology.

Her participation not only elevated the global visibility of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital but also fostered opportunities for research collaborations and advancements in dermatological care.

The event will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, with a significant number being globally active doctors. Prof. Alvaro Christian Laga Canales from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA, an expert in Dermatopathology and Infection Pathology, serve as the Siriraj International Visiting Scholars from November 4th to November 15th, 2024.
