Course Objective
This international course is aimed for dermatologists who elect to have an additional training in the art and science of skin laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
Core curriculum
The program utilizes the facilities of the Dermatologic Surgery Division, Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, a fully functional dermatologic surgery center consisting of 5 operating rooms (3 laser operative rooms, 2 minor operative rooms), 1 consultation room and electronic library.
The training program is composed of 2 parts
- Basic and advanced knowledge in laser and non-coherent, pulsed light therapy in Dermatology
- Lectures
- Topic review/interesting case discussion
- Journal Club
- Practice
- Live demonstration
- Assisting in the laser operating rooms
- Practicing on pig skin and simulated skin
- Hands-on operation under the supervision

Prerequisite
At least one-year training in general dermatology from accredited institutions
Course duration 1 month
Credentials
Upon completion of the course, the trainees will be eligible for a certificate of “Short Course Training in Skin Laser Surgery” from the Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University.

- Completed application including a recent passport-size photograph.
- Two letters of recommendation from your supervisors, your sponsor, or someone who knows you professionally.
- Personal statement: attach a second sheet explaining in English why you would like to be a part of the Skin Laser Fellowship Training Program and describe your interest in Dermatology and your career goals.
