Siriraj and Bangkok Hospital Host PMAC 2025 Field Trip

Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, in collaboration with Bangkok Hospital, organized a Field Trip for PMAC 2025 on January 30th, 2025. Themed “Exploring the AI Healthcare Ecosystem in Thailand : A journey from invention to nationwide implementation”, Prof. Dr. Apichat Asavamongkolkul presided over the event hosted by Siriraj and co-hosted by Bangkok Hospital, with Dr. Poramaporn Prasarttong-Osoth delivering the welcome speech, brought together global policymakers and experts to discuss AI’s role in healthcare.

A key highlight was AI CXR, an AI-powered chest X-ray system developed by Siriraj’s Radiology Department and Percepta, now under consideration for Thailand’s universal healthcare benefits package. 7
