Lecturer Pawit Somnuke, MD, of the Department of Anesthesiology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, attended the ANESTHESIOLOGY 2025 annual meeting. The conference, organized by the American Society of Anesthesiologists, was held from October 10^th – 14^th, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

During the meeting, Dr. Somnuke delivered an oral presentation of his research, titled “Effect of desflurane versus propofol on postoperative neurocognitive disorders in older adults undergoing major urological surgery: a randomized trial.” The study investigates the comparative effects of two common anesthetic agents on the incidence of postoperative neurocognitive disorders (PND) in a specific patient demographic, aiming to inform clinical practice for improved patient outcomes.
