Published During November 16th – 19th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Nuttapol Rittayamai, M.D., from the Division of Respiratory Disease and Tuberculosis, Department of Medicine, Faulty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the international conference ‘The 27th Congress of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR 2023)’ in Singapore to deliver an oral presentation on the topic “Ultrasound evaluation of parasternal intercostal muscle and diaphragm in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.” This study, originating from Siriraj Hospital, addresses a significant gap in knowledge by providing rare ultrasound findings on parasternal intercostal muscle in stable COPD patients. The anticipated publication of the study’s results will contribute valuable insights into respiratory muscle activity in COPD patients and is poised to enhance Siriraj Hospital’s recognition in the field.
