Assistant Professor Peti Thuwajit, MD, Program Director of the Doctorate Program in Immunology at the Department of Immunology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, contributed as a guest speaker at the International Conference of the Genetic Society of Korea (ICGSK) 2024 in Busan, Republic of Korea, between October 10th – 14th, 2024.
Asst. Prof. Thuwajit delivered a talk titled “Diagnostic Power of DNA Methylation Markers Suggestive of Cholangiocarcinoma in ERCP-based Brush Cytology” and presented a poster titled “Cell-surface Bound DNA on Red Blood Cell Membrane as a Source for Detecting Circulating Cancer DNA.” His participation highlighted Siriraj’s cutting-edge research and facilitated international collaboration with other leading institutions.
ICGSK 2024 marked the 10th anniversary of the Genetics Society of Korea’s international academic conference. Held under the theme “Decoding Genomic Mysteries: Journey into Functional Genomics”, the event focused on exploring functional genomics beyond DNA base sequences to understand how genetic codes influence biological processes. The conference featured engaging discussions on unraveling genetic mysteries and advancing genomic science.
