Published On November 10th, 2023, Assoc.Prof.Summon Chomchai, M.D., an Instructor from the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, attended the 21st Annual Scientific Congress “Asia Pacific Association Of Medical Toxicology Conference 2023 in Kerala, India. Assoc. Prof. Chomchai has participated in the workshop among international experts in clinical toxicology and physicians in India and wrote a guideline on the topic “Critical Care for Clinical Toxicology in Resource-Poor Regions” for the care of patients with poisoning from recreational drugs, especially in resource-poor facilities.
The APAMT – 2023 Conference is committed to educating the general public and government agencies about poison information and control, chemical control, and safety. The theme of the meeting is “Critical Care for Clinical Toxicology in Resource Poor Regions.” Many international and national experts will discuss various aspects of pesticide exposure, prevention, detection, and treatment. The meeting will also focus on locally prevalent snake envenomation and plant toxins.
