Siriraj Faculty Abroad at the IFAA Congress 2026 in Australia
Assistant Professor Anuch Durongphan, MD, from the Division of Neuroanatomy, Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, represented Siriraj at the “22nd Congress of the International Federation of Associations of Anatomists (IFAA 2026)” at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia, from August 13-16, 2026.
During this prestigious international anatomy congress, Asst. Prof. Durongphan delivered an oral presentation on “Integrating Photogrammetry-Derived Three-Dimensional Models into Gross Anatomy Practice Exercises: Student Usage and Satisfaction” on August 15.
Additionally, she supervised six medical students – Mr. Kitti Opasmetikul, Mr. Thanawat Paisankajee, Ms. Nuttanicha Choengthawee, Mr. Jirawat Saisit, Ms. Thanyatorn Prasertvachirakul, and Mr. Sira Rungpiboonsopit – who presented their research poster on “Impact of Thiel-Modified Soft Cadavers Versus Formalin-Embalmed Cadavers on Medical Student Educational Outcomes and Perceptions in Gross Anatomy” on August 14.
This participation enhances Siriraj’s international recognition in anatomy education and educational innovation on the global stage. Most importantly, this academic exchange creates valuable opportunities for collaboration with international anatomists and medical educators while strengthening our students’ research capabilities. These connections will support Siriraj’s capacity to develop accessible, technology-enhanced anatomy education and improve the quality of medical teaching, ultimately advancing our educational excellence.
