Asst. Prof. Tachjaree Panchalee from Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has completed her “Postdoctoral Fellow in Cell-based Prenatal Testing Study” at Department of Molecular and Human Genetics, Baylor College of Medicine (BCM), Houston, USA, between June 2019 – May 2020, and complete her role as a Visiting Scholar (Research Fellow) of Clinical Research in Prenatal Therapy for Fetuses with Alpha Thalassemia Major at Center for Maternal-Fetal Precision Medicine, University of California San Francisco (UCSF), USA, between June 2020 – March 2021.
During her studies, Asst. Prof. Tachjaree has an opportunity to deliver both oral and poster presentations on many topics such as “The effect of maternal body mass index and gestational age on circulating trophoblast yield in cell-based noninvasive prenatal testing”, “Single circulating trophoblast in maternal circulation testing for prenatal diagnosis in multiple pregnancies”, “Meta-analysis of aggregated registry data of ATM patients”, and “Pregnancy outcomes among women affected by thalassemia traits”.
After her graduation, Asst. Prof. Tachjaree will continue her position at the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine to conducting the research of Cell-based NIPT and Alpha Thalassemia and Implementing the Intrauterine Treatment of Alpha Thalassemia!
