Published On September 16th, 2023, Assoc. Prof. Weerasak Muangpaisan, from the Department of Preventive & Social Medicine, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital at Mahidol University, served as an invited speaker on the topic “Effects of water-soluble mangosteen extract on cognitive function and neuropsychiatric symptoms in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease (WECAN-AD): a randomized controlled trial” at the 11th International Phytonutrient Symposium 2023 (IPS 2023) and the 14th Asian Congress of Nutrition (ACN 2023) in China. Also, he shared his experience and knowledge in the panel discussion “Importance of Phytonutrients in super-aged society: discussion on the role of phytonutrients in science perspectives.”
The Federation of Asian Nutrition Societies (FANS), established in 1973, organizes the ACN every four years. This year’s theme, “Feeding the Future by Sustainable Nutrition,” aims to unite nutrition researchers and experts from Asia and beyond to exchange the latest scientific knowledge and foster collaboration.
