Published During February 19 – 21, 2018, Professor Dr. Prasert Auewarakul, Deputy Dean of Research along with Dr. Vitoon Chinswangwatanakul, Assistant Dean of Research welcomed Prof. Jay Nelson; Director of the Vaccine and Gene Therapy Institute, Oregon Health Sciences University, Assoc.Professor Dr. Marcel Curlin, Specialist in adult infectious diseases, OHSU, and Professor Michael Gale Jr., Director of the University of Washington Center for Innate Immunity and Immune Disease, USA to visit Siriraj Research Department and facilities in Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital.
On this occasion, three reputed professors from OHSU and UOW also delivered the special lectures, namely, “Cytomegalovirus, Friend or Foe: A Vector for HIV and a Pathogen in Bone Marrow Transplant Patients” by Professor Jay Nelson, “Innate Immune Control of Flavivirus Infection” by Professor Michael Gale Junior, and ““Animal Models of Zika Virus Infection, Pathogenesis & Effects During Pregnancy” delivered by Associate Professor Marcel Curlin” at Siriraj Medical Research Center.
