Published On April 7th, 2023, Prof. Achichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, presided over “The White Coat Ceremony” for Siriraj’s Extern (6th-year medical student) class of 129! The ceremony was well-attended by Siriraj’s Administrative Board Members, Department Chairs, and Undergrad Lecturers!
Siriraj’s Extern is a 6th-year medical student who studied and practiced their clinical years with actual patients. The Extern will work with an attending physician and perform clinical duties such as assessing patient histories and performing physical examinations. All extern tasks are done at Siriraj Hospital under the supervision of the Professor (licensed attending physician.)
