THE World University Rankings 2021 (Clinical & Health)

Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University ranked no. 126 – 150 (tied) in Times Higher Education’s World Best University 2021 in Clinical and Health (the top spot of Thailand’s Medical Schools!).

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings have been highlighting the work of world-class universities since 2004. The THE rankings are arguably the world’s most prestigious and widely referenced university league tables, covered and reproduced by media around the world. Featured institutions benefit from this global exposure with tens of millions of page views every year. The data we compile to produce these rankings are trusted by governments and universities and are a vital resource for students when they are making decisions about where to study. Since 2015, the THE have expanded the range of rankings we produce to spotlight and measure the diverse missions of universities, including teaching and impact.

The clinical and health subject uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, but the methodology has been recalibrated to suit the individual fields. It highlights the universities that are leading across medicine, dentistry and other health subjects. This year’s table includes 856 universities, up from 775 last year. The University of Oxford leads the table for the 10th consecutive year, while Harvard, Cambridge, Imperial College London, and Stanford still complete the top five. Sweden’s Karolinska Institute features in the top 10 for the first time since 2017, while Columbia University drops out of the group, falling five places to 15th. Canada’s McMaster University is the biggest climber in the top 80, rising 15 places to joint 11th. It shares the position with Australia’s University of Melbourne, which improves by three places. China’s Zhejiang University and the Netherlands’ Wageningen University & Research have also made significant gains and join the top 100 this year.

Congratulations!
