Introduction The Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgery Division provides service for patients of the hospital as well as teaching and training for medical students, residents and fellows.  Our highly qualified and highly experienced faculty members are regularly invited to present their works at many international meetings and conferences. From its inception, this specialty division has continually strived to advance knowledge, uses new technology, and conducts research in order to provide the best possible patient care that meets international standards. There have been specialized fellow training for surgeons in the area of knee and hip surgeries since 2000.

Clinical services Presently, the adult reconstructive division provides surgical services to more than 1,300 patients each year (the largest numbers in our country).  Of those, approximately 1,000 received knee replacement surgeries, 200 received hip replacement surgeries, and 100 received other surgeries such as joint surface reconstruction, bone alignment reconstruction, among others. We continue to serve a growing number of patients using modern and up-to-date surgical techniques and technologies such as the use of minimally invasive surgery, computer-assisted robotic-assisted surgery, and patient-specific instrument. These techniques and technologies have helped to increase surgical precision, reduce surgical trauma, and shorten recovery period leading to achievement of satisfactory long-termed outcomes for patients.
