The 6 th Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Conference 2018, and to today’s Mentor Lecture Session entitled “Simulation in Healthcare: Make It Practical”.

This conference is a side meeting of The Prince MahidolAward Conference, which is an annual international conferencehosted by the Royal Thai Government, the Prince Mahidol AwardFoundation and co-hosted by distinguished partners.

 

The 6 th Prince Mahidol Award Youth Program Conference 2018, we had five young physician scholars from the year 2015 presented their work and experiences. They also presented their plans for extending the benefits of their projects to the Thai people and the world as a whole. This program aims to facilitate such collaboration and networking for researchers, community developers and clinical practitioners in their chosen fields.

 

We take this opportunity to thank Associate Professor Roy Phitayakorn for supervising one of our Prince Mahidol Award Youth Scholars, and for sharing with us today his experiences in the topic “Inter-Professional Team Training to Improve Non-Technical Skill – a Successful Story from Our Learning Lab” and the workshop on non-technical skill together with Dr. Praelada Wongsirimeteekul, one of our Prince Mahidol Award Youth Scholars 2015. We will also have visiting professors and Thai pioneers in this field to share their work and experiences including Professor John O’Donnell and Assistant Professor Usapan Surabenjawong in the topic “Effective Debriefing – Are We There Yet?”, Assistant Professor Borwon Wittayachamnankul in the topic “Team Work Training and Interdisciplinary Education in Simulation”, Associate Professor Polpun Boonmak and Dr. Poom Tritrakarn in the topic “Current Situation and Future Direction of Simulation in Thailand”. This session is co-hosted by Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University and Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University.
