Assoc.Prof. Pisit Lertwanich from Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, delivered a special lecture on the topic “Approach to Athletic Groin Pain” at The 6th Biennial Asia Arthroscopy Congress & The 3rd Peking University Forum on Sports Medicine in Beijing, China, between October 11th – 13th, 2019.

Assoc.Prof. Pornjira Pariwatcharakul from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, conducted a research poster presentation and won the Excellent Research Presentation Award on the topic “Holy Water Bathing Versus Antipsychotics in the Treatment of Schizophrenia: a Scenario-based Survey on Clinical Decision-making Among Thai Medical Students” at the 6th Congress of the Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (AsCNP) 2019 in Fukuoka, Japan, between October 11th – 13th, 2019.

 

Assoc. Prof. Dittakarn Boriboonhirunsarn from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has attended and conducted a poster presentation and oral presentation at the 2019 International Congress of Diabetes and Metabolism (ICDM 2019) in Seoul, Korea between October 10th – 12th, 2019.

Asst.Prof. Woraphat Ratta-apha from the Department of Psychiatry, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, conducted a research poster presentation and won the Travel Award on the topic “Methamphetamine Use among Pregnant Women” on the Symposium about Clinical Research in Progress on Addiction Medicine at the 6th Congress of the Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (AsCNP) 2019 in Fukuoka, Japan, on October 12th, 2019.

On October 10th, 2019, Prof. Suwannee Suraseraneewongse, Deputy Dean and Director of Siriraj Medical School, along with Prof. Thawatchai Akaraviputh, Deputy Dean for International Relations, Assoc.Prof. Sith Sathornsumetee and Prof Woraphong Manuskiati, Assistant Dean for International Relations, conduct an English interview examination for the scholarship “Siriraj International Residents and Fellows Exchange Program 2020” and hearing the reflection of Siriraj International Residency & Fellow Exchange Program 2019.

Prof. Sara Schwanke Khilji, Director for Interprofessional Education, OHSU Global (Bangkok), for the visit and discussion of current and future educational collaborations between Oregon Health & Science University and Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital. the event took place at the Conference Room, Administration Building, Siriraj Hospital.

On October 9th, 2019, Dr. Sompop Suamphan, Acting Chairman of the Family and Alternative Medicine Department, Golden Jubilee Medical Center, welcomed students from “School for International Training Study Abroad Program – India: Public Health, Gender, and Community Action” to visit the Alternative Medicine Center, Mahidol University. The objective of this visit is to spend extensive time in under-resourced communities to understand inclusion and access to healthcare, focusing especially on reproductive and children’s health in Thailand.

Ms. Sasithon Sukthomya, Deputy Director of Sirindhorn School of Prosthetics and Orthotics, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, has attended and conducted a poster presentation at the 17th the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) World Congress 2019 in Kobe, Japan, between October 5th – 8th, 2019.
