On May 10th, 2019, Assoc.Prof. Cherdchai Nopmaneejumruslers, Vice Director of Siriraj Hospital, and Assistant Dean of Quality Development, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, attended the grand opening of Centre of Healthcare Innovations (CHI), Singapore.

Prof. Woraphong Manuskiatti from the Department of Dermatology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital delivered 3 presentations including Picosecond laser: a game changer of facial rejuvenation, Neck rejuvenation with fractional microneedling radiofrequency and Picosecond laser treatment for atrophic acne scar at Aesthetic Medicine World Congress Asia-Taiwan Dermatology Aesthetic Conference 2019 (AMWC ASIA-TDSC 2019) in Taipei, Taiwan during 10-12th August 2019.

On May 8th, 2019, Prof. Tararaj Dharakul, Chairman of Department of Immunology along with Prof. Sunee Korbsrisate, welcomed Prof. Gregory J. Bancroft from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. to serve as a Siriraj International Visiting Scholars at Department of Immunology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital from April 20th – 26th, 2019 and May 7th – 9th, 2019.

 

This course is part of the continuing international collaboration between Cytopathology Division, Department of Pathology, The Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA and Department of Pathology. Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, It provides short-term training “9th Annual Siriraj-Johns Hopkins Cytopathology Course”.

Prof. Sunanta Chantakarn, Chairwoman of Department of Psychiatry and Siriraj administrative members welcomed Dr. Ian Stephen, Program Director Psychology, Macquarie University, Australia to explore the possibility in elaborating academic collaboration in the field of Psychology, Cognitive Sciences, Cognition Disorder, and other relevant specialties between Siriraj and Macquarie.

Welcome, Dr. Hsu Myat Mon from Central Women’s Hospital, Yangon, Myanmar, to undertake the short training program under “Siriraj Scholarship for ASEAN Doctors and Developing Countries” at the Gynecologic Oncology Unit, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, starting from May 1st – 31st, 2019. Dr. Hsu Myat Mon will be training under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Suwanit Therasakvichya, Head of Gynecologic Oncology Unit.

On May 1st, 2019, Prof. Dr. Prasit Watanapa, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, signed an agreement of research cooperation with Mrs. Peeranoot Lohwongwatana, Managing Director of Meticuly Co., Ltd. and Prof. Supot Teachavorasinskun, Dean of Faculty of Engineering Chulalongkorn University, for the research collaboration in developing the innovative titanium mandible reconstruction device.

With the integration of the knowledge, the device is designed with the expertise of medical and engineering fields, and fabricated with titanium 3D printing technology. This device is developed to use with patients that need mandible reconstructive surgery. The objective of research collaboration also aims to commercialize the invention after the development phase is finished with a will to make the devices reach Thai citizens thoroughly.
